Dr. Malcolm Shore
Dr. Shore’s distinguished career began with service in the Royal New Zealand Air Force, followed by a pivotal role as Director of Information Systems Security at the New Zealand Government Communications Security Bureau (GCSB), where he was responsible for establishing and managing the country’s national information security program and has since held CISO/CSO roles at New Zealand Telecom, NBN Co., Huawei Australia and BAE Systems Applied Intelligence.
He has represented both Australia and New Zealand in international cybersecurity forums, contributed to global standards through participation in ISO and The Open Group, and has held board positions with the Australian Information Security Association (AISA) and The SABSA Institute.
Dr. Shore is also one of the first recipients of ISACA’s new certification in AI Auditing. He is a frequent speaker at industry events, including AISA CyberCon and the COSAC APAC Security Conference, where he has delivered insightful talks and technical workshops on artificial intelligence.
In academia, Dr. Shore developed and lectured in the Postgraduate Diploma in Forensics and Security at the University of Canterbury in New Zealand, and currently serves as an adjunct PhD supervisor at Deakin University in Melbourne.
