AI  Architecture – AgentDNS – Architecting Navigation Through the AgentWeb

The World Wide Web already hosts AI services such as ChatGPT and is evolving rapidly to handle the next wave of AI: autonomous AI-enabled endpoints, or Agentic AI. As vast numbers of AI Agents become directly accessible on the internet, the existing addressing schemes that have supported websites will no longer be adequate.

In this presentation, we review AgentDNS using the SABSA architectural approach, defining the addressing requirements for AI Agents, and building a conceptual architecture. From this, we prepare a Logical/Physical layer Security Design Pattern which demonstrably traces back to the requirements and enables an assured component layer solution to be delivered. Based on this architecture, we assess the completeness of the IETF AgentDNS proposal.
